Free I (Free One) offers a unique coffeeshop environment in the heart of Amsterdam. Located on Reguliersdwarsstraat, a strip home to many LGBTQ-friendly establishments, Free I has acknowledged their alliance to the LGBTQ community and welcomes everyone. The inside of Coffeeshop Free I is, well, intriguing. Furnished as half tiki bar and half secret basement smoking lounge, this two-level establishment stands out from the others in terms of decoration. The main level houses the shop’s (tiki) bar where cannabis, hash, edibles, and a selection of basic snacks and drinks are available for purchase. Free I’s large menu is hash dominant, offering several varieties of Nederhasj as well as imports. Several cannabis flower options are also available ranging from classic Dutch strains to imported hybrids. The shop’s low-ceilinged basement level offers additional seating with ground-level windows, providing a view of Amsterdam from a different perspective.
