Weedcyclers Cannabis Clean Up

No Earth, No Herb: How Weedcyclers Is Cleaning Up The Cannabis Industry

Copied!

The cannabis industry is booming, but thereโ€™s a downside thatโ€™s easy to miss: waste. Think about all those Mylar bags, jars, and pre-roll tubes. They add up quickly, leaving a heavy footprint on our planet. The so-called โ€œgreenโ€ industry isnโ€™t always as green as weโ€™d like, and thatโ€™s where WeedCyclers comes in.

Based in New York City, WeedCyclers is more than just a business, itโ€™s a movement built on one simple belief: No Earth, No Herb.

More Than Just Picking Up Trash

WeedCyclers isnโ€™t your typical cleanup crew. Their mission is to build a truly sustainable system for managing cannabis waste. Hereโ€™s how theyโ€™re making a real difference:

  • Community Action: Youโ€™ll spot them in Queens and Manhattan, rallying volunteers for community cleanups to clear cannabis packaging from sidewalks.
  • Creative Upcycling: They target the โ€œun-recyclables,โ€ transforming discarded waste into functional, upcycled promotional items and custom merchandise.
  • Education: Theyโ€™re training budtenders and consumers so everyone knows how to properly dispose of their packaging.

High-Level Collaborations

To maximize their impact, WeedCyclers partners with major culture-shapers, regulatory arms, and industry mainstages:

  • Sanitation Foundation: As the official nonprofit arm of the NYC Department of Sanitation, they equip WeedCyclers with professional tools like litter pickers to back grassroots street initiatives.
  • Flower Mill: Together, they hosted a successful โ€œgrinder exchange,โ€ upgrading old gear for consumers while properly recycling the scrap metal.
  • Revelry Fest: Partnering with New York cannabis expo, Revelry, ensures sustainability remains a front-and-center topic for licensees, brands, and operators.
  • Solventless Cup: Collaborating with events like the Solventless Cup embeds zero-waste practices directly into elite concentrate and flower competitions, allowing processors, cultivators, judges, and attendees to recycle the packaging waste generated from the event.

Bringing Sustainability to Local Dispensaries

WeedCyclers knows that real change happens in the places where we shop. Thatโ€™s why theyโ€™re teaming up with regional dispensaries, helping to turn these shops into sustainability hubs.

These partnerships allow dispensaries to host collection bins, participate in neighborhood cleanups, and provide their customers with the tools they need to be responsible consumers. Itโ€™s a win-win-win: dispensaries reduce their environmental impact, consumers get a convenient way to recycle their packaging, and we all get a cleaner city!

Current Dispensary Partners Across NYC Include:

  • Kaya Bliss Dispensary
  • QUBE
  • Conbud
  • Indoor Cannabis Store
  • and others!

WeedCyclers Is Coming to Western New York!

With the success of the NYC partnerships serving as a blueprint for growth, WeedCyclers is expanding these vital recycling and waste management initiatives to Western New York (WNY).

Weโ€™re beyond excited to share that weโ€™re working with WeedCyclers to bring their recycling and waste programs to Western New York. The expansion into the WNY cannabis scene aims to establish:

  • Special recycling drop-offs at participating regional dispensaries.
  • Community cleanup events focused on protecting local parks and shorelines in the WNY area.
  • More sustainable options at your favorite local dispensaries.

We canโ€™t wait to help grow a greener cannabis community. Keep an eye out for updates on our launch date and which locations will be joining in!

Letโ€™s keep our earth (and our herb) thriving, together.
