De Bommel “The Bumblebee” was the first coffeeshop to open in the De Baarsjes region of Amsterdam West. This shop has been serving the neighborhood for decades. De Bommel is a short walk from Amsterdam’s beautiful Rembrandt Park. The shop offers onsite smoking inside of its comfortable seating lounge which is reminiscent of a neighborhood bar, complete with dart board, jukebox, and old school arcade games. Images of a smoking bear, the shop’s mascot, can be found throughout the shop. De Bommel’s cannabis menu is fairly large in size and offers a variety of primarily traditional strains as well as a selection of hybrids and import hashes. Most notable is the shop’s menu of pre-rolled joints, which is certainly among the most extensive in Amsterdam. Hot beverages and edible space cakes are also available here.
